The role spans multiple work locations in Washington, DC; New London, CT; Groton, CT; and Newport, RI, requiring leadership, collaboration, and hands-on technical expertise to advance critical Navy missions.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD/US Navy security clearance eligibility (DoW Secret)
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in US Navy acquisition programs or submarine-related defense programs
  • Experience in program management, technical leadership, systems integration, or related leadership roles
  • Experience with submarine electronics, combat systems, payload systems, or other mission-critical submarine systems
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering, integration, test, certification, risk management, and QA processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate timely completion of program assignments aligned with strategic objectives and mission requirements
  • Serve as Systems Integration and Test Lead overseeing integration, risk assessment, production, QA, and test activities
  • Develop and implement processes to monitor and communicate program risks, production performance, system quality, and technical progress
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts involving specifications, design, development, production, delivery, parts, processes, and procedures
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies addressing vulnerabilities while complying with Navy/DoD policies
  • Provide training, policy guidance, and risk-management approaches to support program execution
  • Review program documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across submarine manufacturing and acquisition domains
  • Coordinate with government, engineering, shipbuilding, manufacturing, and industry partners to resolve issues
  • Support program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and leadership briefings
  • Provide technical recommendations and programmatic insight for informed decision-making
