Job summary

Serco is seeking a Submarine Electrical Engineer in the Washington, DC area to provide senior technical expertise for U.S. Navy submarine systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance support.

You will develop manuals, review drawings, brief decision makers, and coordinate IPTs while ensuring CBM/RCM practices and lifecycle sustainment. The role requires clearance, citizenship, and strong collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of DoD/Armed Services experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review operational and technical documentation for maintenance and monitoring.
• Review engineering drawings and provide recommendations.
• Prepare briefs for decision makers including classified briefings up to Flag level.
• Coordinate IPTs and provide technical authority for in-service submarine classes.
• Oversee CBM and RCM practices and sustainment activities throughout the lifecycle.
