Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems in York, PA seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the full portfolio of DoD contracts, support proposal preparation, negotiations, and contract administration.

The role collaborates with program managers and legal, ensures compliance with FAR/DFAR, and drives profitable performance while maintaining strong customer relations; travel is limited.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in contracts management roles or related experience.
• Experience in a DoD contracting environment, preferably supporting the U.S. Navy.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and related regulations.
• Experience coordinating with stakeholders to achieve contract objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review RFIs and RFPs; guide terms and propose exceptions.
• Approve documents protecting contractual risk and policy adherence.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Proposal Manager, and P&E on strategies.
• Liaise with Legal counsel on contract matters.
• Plan and execute negotiations to achieve favorable terms and profits.
• Lead contract administration and customer contact activities.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and government regulations.
• Interface with program, technical, and operations teams for guidance.
