Industry leader in defense and space manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Contracts & Compliance Manager to lead regulatory compliance and U.S. Government contracting activities within a growing defense-industry organization in the Greater York County, South Carolina area. Reporting to senior leadership, this hands-on role will manage contract lifecycle activities, strengthen compliance processes, and serve as a trusted advisor across the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. Government contracts and subcontracts, including solicitations, proposals, negotiations, modifications, administration, risk management, and closeout.
• Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and other applicable federal and customer requirements; translate requirements into practical policies, processes, and controls.
• Maintain and continuously improve the company's compliance program, including policies, obligation tracking, records, certifications, disclosures, flow-downs, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of contracts and compliance experience in the U.S. defense industry, including experience supporting Department of Defense customers and working with international defense suppliers/customers.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, government contracting processes, cybersecurity/CUI requirements, and related compliance systems; experience with contract negotiation and subcontract management.
• Security clearance eligible with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills; comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, small-business environment with minimal oversight.
