Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems in York, PA seeks an Assistant Controller to manage the general ledger, closing processes, and GAAP compliance for government contracts. You will prepare, report, and analyze financial statements, support audits, and drive planning/forecasting activities.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and IT skills, with experience in Deltek Cost Point and related finance systems. Negotiable salary; benefits on day one; 3 weeks vacation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, finance, or accounting.
• Minimum 5–7 years of broad financial experience in manufacturing/government contracting or 5–7 years as an accountant.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; GAAP knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger and journal entries; lead closing process.
• Prepare reconciliations with sub-ledgers and trial balances; generate financial reports.
• Develop annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and variance analyses; support audits and CAS.
