Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC in San Diego, CA seeks an Engineering Technician V with Navy shipboard experience to support firefighting, auxiliaries and pollution abatement systems aboard U.S. Navy assets.

This full-time, onsite role at SWRMC focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance and training for Ship’s Force to improve readiness. A SECRET clearance is required; high school diploma and 3–5 years’ hands-on experience are necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with hands-on Navy shipboard experience.
• 3–5 years of operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of shipboard firefighting and pollution-abatement systems.
• Ability to document findings and communicate effectively in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for prescribed equipment.
• Conduct engineering evaluations, functional checks, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform inspections and witness operations to verify system readiness.
• Deliver onboard maintenance training to Ship’s Force on relevant systems.
• Prepare reports and debrief on tasks completed.
