Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking an Engineering Technician V (Hydraulics) to support U.S. Naval shipboard auxiliary equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA. You will troubleshoot, train, and provide engineering support alongside Navy personnel to ensure fleet readiness.

The role requires seven years of hands-on Navy hydraulics experience, the ability to lead assessment teams, and travel up to 10%. Security clearance (SECRET) is required before hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least seven (7) years of relevant hands-on Navy auxiliary equipment experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and assess shipboard hydraulics and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Full-Time Onsite and Surge support for Code 254 equipment.
• Serve as SME and lead for assessment teams and Fleet Technical Assistance.
• Conduct pre-job briefings and report equipment readiness status.
• Analyze inspection data to determine fault sources and recommend actions.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship’s Force technicians.
