THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking an Engineering Technician VI (Fire Fighting, Auxiliaries, & Pollution Abatement) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time support for U.S.

Naval shipboard equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA. You will join a waterfront team delivering direct engineering and technical support to the Pacific Fleet, troubleshooting equipment and training Ship’s Force to improve Fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with extensive hands-on experience.
• Ten years of recent, relevant hands-on Navy auxiliary equipment experience within 15 years.
• Ability to use computers (MS Office) for reports and data transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 251 equipment.
• Perform on-site engineering evaluations, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs.
• Inspect and groom equipment, observe operation and adjust settings within time constraints.
• Deliver Onboard Maintenance Training to Ship’s Force for firefighting and ancillary systems.
• Analyze inspection data to identify fault sources and recommend corrective actions.
• Report findings to Team Leader/Branch Head using required forms within two days.
