Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Senior Account Executive Officer for National Accounts to lead profitability, growth and retention of a high‑value book. You will underwrite complex risks, negotiate with agents and brokers, and align strategies with regional and enterprise partners.

The role requires deep knowledge of loss sensitive products, regulatory awareness, and outstanding client relationships. Travel to client meetings is expected to market Travelers products and expand the book.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of underwriting experience with National Accounts.
• Deep knowledge of loss sensitive products and regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate highly complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Foster relationships with external partners by meeting agents and brokers to market Travelers products.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with advanced marketing and sales skills.
• Develop agency sales plans with MD guidance and support less experienced underwriters.
