Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent municipal construction experience considered.
• 5+ years of municipal or heavy civil construction experience with leadership of field operations on utility or wastewater projects.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, drainage infrastructure, underground utilities, and heavy civil practices.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, utility plans, and construction schedules.
• Experience managing subcontractors, equipment operations, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and construction management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for municipal infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, drainage improvements, lift stations, and underground utilities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain productivity, safety, and schedule performance.
• Review civil drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work meets plans and municipal standards.
• Supervise installation of sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water utilities, force mains, and concrete structures.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations, trench safety, and site-specific procedures.
• Monitor project schedules and address field challenges to maintain timelines and quality.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on manpower, equipment usage, production, inspections, and progress.
• Coordinate inspections, utility tie-ins, testing, and activities with municipalities, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure work meets project specs, quality, environmental regulations, and client expectations.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, trade partners, municipal representatives, and clients.
