Job summary

The Lemoine Company, LLC is seeking a Municipal Superintendent to lead field execution on municipal and public works projects across Louisiana. You will manage underground utilities, drainage, roadway construction, and site development while ensuring safety, schedule, and quality targets are met.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of municipal or heavy civil construction experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read and interpret complex civil drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years experience in municipal or heavy civil construction with field operations leadership.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specs, utility plans, and schedules.
• Experience managing subcontractors, equipment, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for municipal infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, drainage improvements, lift stations, and underground utilities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain productivity, safety, and schedule performance.
• Review civil drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work meets plans and standards.
• Supervise installation of sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water utilities, and concrete structures.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and site-specific safety procedures.
• Monitor project schedules and address field challenges to maintain timelines and quality.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on manpower, equipment usage, and site progress.
• Coordinate inspections, utility tie-ins, testing, and project activities with municipalities and engineers.
