Job summary

You will collaborate with HR and Accounting, audit timekeeping, and support year-end processes such as W-2s. The role requires hands-on experience with major payroll systems and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of payroll processing experience in a corporate or multi-state environment.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday, UKG Kronos, Dayforce).
• Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic formulas).
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy under deadline pressure.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
• Enter and audit timekeeping data, new hires, terminations, and pay changes within the payroll system.
• Calculate and process deductions, garnishments, benefits contributions, and tax withholdings.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies before each pay cycle.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies.
• Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W‑2 preparation and audits.
• Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested payroll documentation.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure alignment on employee data and cost allocations.
• Identify and help implement process improvements within the payroll workflow.
