The role focuses on accurate, timely U.S. payroll processing across states, ensuring regulatory compliance and collaboration with HR, Benefits, and Accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Strong experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
• Experience in a professional services environment preferred.
• CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage end-to-end U.S. payroll across multiple states.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Review payroll transactions including direct deposits, tax elections, deductions, PTO payouts, and final pay.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain audit-ready records.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
• Partner with HR on onboarding, terminations, compensation changes, and leave administration.
• Collaborate with Benefits and Accounting for deductions, reporting, and GL activity.
• Support payroll audits and year-end processing.
• Maintain payroll controls and reconciliation schedules.
