Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Development Manager focused on multifamily development to drive early-stage project success from concept through entitlements and schematic design. This onsite role in McLean, VA collaborates with AHJs, lenders, and partners to secure zoning changes, subsidies, and efficient unit mixes.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of progressive real estate development experience with multifamily entitlements and financing.
• Experience with ground-up workforce housing or income-restricted/mixed-income developments preferred.
• Deep understanding of multifamily financial mechanisms and municipal public-private partnerships.
• Expertise in horizontal development and early civil decisions impact on costs.
• Ability to communicate complex constraints to boards, partners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence and feasibility for high-density workforce housing sites.
• Underwrite pro formas and cost budgets tailored to mixed-income economics.
• Navigate zoning, density bonuses, and public incentives with AHJs.
• Drive design management, value engineering, and unit mix optimization.
• Oversee pre-construction hand-off to construction and asset management teams.
