Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is looking for a seasoned engineer to support modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space systems within the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department. This on-site role supports El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA offices and requires leading a team on multi-disciplinary projects.

You will develop and present technical analyses, collaborate with customers, and mentor junior staff while navigating complex CONOPS and space-domain challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related technical field from an accredited school.
• 5+ years of professional engineering/scientific experience in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Technical understanding of space operations and CONOPS performance.
• Experience with space systems, C2, or related domains.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB.
• Ability to lead a team and adapt to changing customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department as a technical authority.
• Lead and contribute to technical analysis projects for timely, accurate deliveries.
• Model and analyze enterprise-level systems and missions.
• Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Travel occasionally as required.
