Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Colorado Springs is seeking an intern to join the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department, contributing to MS&A of space, air, and ground systems. You will learn and contribute to engineering analysis software, perform deep dives and trade studies, and deliver technical presentations.

Applicants must be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program and available for 10 weeks full-time; US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in an engineering field (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software)
• Availability to work full-time for 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program
• Bachelor’s degree completed by internship start date
• Programming experience in Python, C++, or MATLAB
• Experience developing, implementing, and applying software scripts/models/algorithms
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Learn and contribute to development of engineering analysis software tools
• Assist with conducting technical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments on multi-disciplinary teams
• Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports
• Training and mentorship will be provided
