Victor Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriter to launch and grow a new MPL program. You will underwrite and manage a diversified book, help shape strategy, and drive profitable portfolio growth with experienced broker partnerships.

The role offers visibility into product development, guidelines, pricing strategy, and long-term program performance within a dynamic build-stage environment.

Qualifications

• Underwrite complex MPL risks within authority.
• Evaluate submissions, financials, loss runs, and contracts for risk acceptability.
• Build and scale MPL program with disciplined underwriting.
• Maintain broker relationships to drive submission flow.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal MPL risks per guidelines and targets.
• Evaluate submissions and determine risk acceptability.
• Price, quote, bind, and manage MPL accounts for sustainable growth.
• Collaborate with leadership on appetite, pricing, and workflow.
• Foster broker partnerships to expand market presence.
• Negotiate terms with brokers while balancing goals and discipline.
• Monitor portfolio performance, rate adequacy, and loss trends.
• Work with actuarial, claims, legal, and product teams on development.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff as the program scales.
• Contribute to product enhancements and wording reviews.
• Maintain accurate underwriting files and data quality.
