Victor Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriter to help launch and grow a new Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) program. The role focuses on underwriting and managing a diversified book of MPL business, shaping strategy, and supporting profitable portfolio growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep MPL underwriting expertise, strong broker relationships, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, build-stage environment.

Qualifications

• Underwrite complex professional liability risks within authority.
• Strong knowledge of MPL coverage forms and pricing.
• Experience building or scaling books of business.
• Established broker relationships and market development.
• Analytical, negotiation, and portfolio management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.
• Comfortable with fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficient in underwriting systems and data-driven decision tools.
• 7 to 15+ years of underwriting experience in professional liability.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal MPL risks per guidelines and profitability targets.
• Evaluate submissions and determine acceptability of risk.
• Price, bind, and manage MPL accounts with disciplined underwriting.
• Develop underwriting appetite and guidelines with leadership.
• Build relationships with brokers to drive submissions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and rate adequacy.
