Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Movable Bridge/Structural Engineer to join our National Bridges & Structures Practice. You will work in a team-focused environment across multiple offices in the U.S. on movable and fixed bridge projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 7–10 years of post-education engineering experience with prior structural design work.
• Engineering license (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of structural/civil codes, regulations, and QA/QC practices.
• Experience with design software and bridge projects.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, plan development tasks and perform structural analysis and design.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise mid-to-senior team members.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, changes, budgets, and scheduling.
• Oversee QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support business development and client relationship growth.
