WSP USA seeks a Senior Professional / Structural Engineer to join the Complex Bridge Practice in New York City or any US office, offering a hybrid work model.

The role leads structural analysis and design for complex bridges, mentors teams, and coordinates with owners and clients. Proficiency in advanced modeling and compliance with codes is essential for rehabilitation, new design, and construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering required.
• 5+ years of post-education experience; bridge design preferred.
• Professional Engineer license required; multi-state preferred.
• Proficiency in structural analysis, modeling, and design.
• Experience with rehabilitation, reconstruction, or new bridge design.
• Strong communication and QA/QC capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspect site conditions for conformance to rules and permits.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants and clients.
• Perform structural analysis and design reviews for complex bridges; mentor others.
• Develop advanced modeling techniques and design requirements for safe, future-ready solutions.
• Coordinate with project teams; track hours, expenses, and materials for budgets.
• Remain current with bridge engineering codes and practices.
