Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Movable Bridge/Structural Engineer to join our Chicago office or any US location. You will lead design and plan development, perform structural analysis, mentor junior staff, and oversee cross‑functional teams on movable bridges and related structures.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of experience, a PE license, and a strong track record in design, inspection, and project management. Hybrid work model. Competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering or closely related field.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience with structural design.
• Engineer license preferred (multi-state).
• Strong knowledge of structural and civil construction laws and codes.
• Experience with design software and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, plan development, and perform structural analysis and design.
• Oversee project scope, budget, and changes; mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with team members and clients; provide QC/QA reviews.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Manage mid-to-large scale bridges and transit structures projects.
