Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Movable Bridge Engineer in the United States to lead electrical design for movable bridge projects. You will guide design teams, perform inspections, and develop rehabilitation strategies while ensuring quality and safety.

You will work across offices with extensive CAD involvement (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and collaborate on technical reports, calculations, and client communications. Hybrid work is supported nationwide.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; PE in the US.
• 15+ years of experience in movable bridge Electrical Engineering.
• Solid experience with electrical design for movable structures.
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Movable Bridge Design Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on movable bridge projects.
• Direct design teams and ensure quality and innovation.
• Perform inspections, condition assessments, and rehabilitation planning.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Develop preliminary details using CAD and coordinate with CAD technicians.
