Job summary

Jacobs\' Structural/Bridge Group is seeking a Sr. Movable Bridge Engineer with extensive experience in condition inspections and leading design teams.

You\'ll handle movable bridge electrical design for new and rehab projects, supervise inspections of electrical equipment, and guide project teams across the US and Canada. A PE in the US and a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET) are required, with 15+ years in movable bridge EE.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in movable bridge electrical engineering.
• PE license in the US.
• BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Experience with electrical design for movable bridges.
• Strong writing and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction on movable bridge projects.
• Commit to quality and continuous improvement through innovation.
• Perform existing bridge inspection and condition assessment; develop rehabilitation strategies.
• Prepare contract drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
• Develop preliminary details using CAD and coordinate with CAD technicians.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as technical resource for the team.
• Develop technical reports, client communication and memoranda.
