Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Senior Movable Bridge Engineer to lead electrical design for rehabilitation and new movable bridge projects across the US and Canada. You will perform inspections, develop rehabilitation strategies, and provide technical leadership to project teams.
Ideal candidates hold a PE in the US, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 15+ years in mov able bridge electrical engineering, with CAD skills (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and strong writing/communication abilities.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited).
- PE licensure in the US required or actively pursuing licensure.
- Minimum 15+ years of mov able bridge electrical engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on movable bridge projects.
- Oversee and perform bridge electrical design for rehabilitation and new projects.
- Perform existing bridge inspections and develop rehabilitation strategies.
- Prepare contract drawings, specs, calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
- Develop preliminary details using CAD and coordinate with CAD technicians.
- Mentor junior engineers and act as project technical resource.
- Develop client communications and technical memoranda.
