Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to deliver quality customer service by gathering necessary documentation and coordinating with loan officers to underwrite loans. The role includes preparing disclosures when required by law and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will work closely with customers and underwriters to secure needed information and manage the loan file from application to funding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and Regulation Z/B requirements.
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough review and analysis of borrower's credit, employment, income, and assets as required by the loan program before underwriting.
• Assemble complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify all required documentation in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify application completeness and accuracy; identify potential underwriting issues.
• Prepare a loan approval summary and forms; coordinate with Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter for missing documents.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare disclosures.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information.
• Ensure vendor orders are complete and invoices captured in E-file.
• Maintain pipeline and submit reports within turn-around times.
• Assist setup of loans and support supervision of new staff.
• Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to clear outstanding items.
