Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage in California is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to obtain documentation, order third‑party verifications, and underwrite loans. You will communicate with customers and Loan Officers to assemble complete loan packages, ensure disclosures meet local, state, and federal regulations, and maintain accurate E-files.

Responsibilities include reviewing credit, employment, income, and assets; verifying documents; preparing loan approval summaries and required forms; and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass preferred.
• Working knowledge of mortgage regulations (RESPA, Regulation Z and B).
• Proficient with DU/LP, MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower credit, employment, income and assets for underwriting.
• Assemble loan packages in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify required documentation and complete loan checklists.
• Prepare loan approval summaries and ensure accuracy of forms.
• Communicate with loan originator, customer and underwriter to obtain missing docs.
• Ensure compliance with mortgage regulations and disclosures.
• Coordinate with title, survey, payoff providers and other vendors.
• Maintain loan pipeline and turnaround times.
• Assist closing, servicing and post-closing activities as needed.
