Fifth Third Bank seeks a Senior Mortgage Loan Originator to manage the residential loan from application to closing, partnering with sales leadership to develop Mortgage Loan Advisor talent and ensure a positive customer experience.

The role emphasizes building sustainable referral networks, coaching on loan processes, and guiding applications through processing, underwriting, and closing with strict risk controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; four-year college degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of origination experience at Fifth Third or similar institution preferred.
• Proven track record in top loan production and score-card performance.
• Knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines.
• Familiar with residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop sustainable referral relationships with realtors, builders, and professionals.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, loan products, and processing procedures; complete trainings on time.
• Coach and train Mortgage Loan Advisors on behaviors and activities for development.
• Educate Mortgage Loan Advisors on all aspects of the mortgage loan originator role.
• Guide loans through agency and portfolio guidelines, processing, underwriting, closing, and pricing.
