Fifth Third Bank is hiring a Senior Mortgage Loan Originator to oversee residential loan origination from application to closing. You will build referral networks with realtors and builders while collaborating with leadership to train and develop Mortgage Loan Advisors.

You will manage the loan pipeline, ensure adherence to policy and regulatory guidelines, and deliver timely status updates to branches and applicants, driving strong customer service and sales performance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; a four-year college degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of origination experience at Fifth Third, or a similar institution.
• Top 25% in closed loan production or units in the prior calendar year is preferred.
• Knowledge of Total Expert and other origination/lead generation systems.
• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
• Strong written and verbal communications; demonstrated organizational skills.
• Proven computer skills.
• Strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS at time of employment.

Responsabilités

• Develop sustainable and consistent referral relationships (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts).
• Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, available loan products, processing, underwriting and guidelines.
• Coach and train assigned Mortgage Loan Advisor on behaviors and activities required to develop and sustain referrals.
• Educate Mortgage Loan Advisor on all aspects and components of the mortgage loan originator position.
• Explain agency and portfolio guidelines, processing, underwriting, closing and pricing procedures.
• Assist in managing the loan origination through closing and related reporting.
• Take applications by completing URLA on laptop and maintain timely updates with branches/applicants.
• Ensure completion of required documents and manage pipeline through closing.
• Attend sales meetings, calls and training as required by management.
