Job summary

First American’s ServiceMac team seeks a Mortgage Default Servicing Specialist to manage high‑risk portfolios and ensure regulatory compliance across state and federal laws. You will oversee complex proceedings with counsel, monitor milestones, and ensure accurate, timely filings.

You will coordinate with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, and insurers to drive disputes toward resolution while maintaining strict adherence to guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Paralegal degree or certificate preferred.
• 3+ years in mortgage servicing, litigation, or title resolution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage high‑risk mortgage portfolios to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee counsel's legal proceedings and milestones for each jurisdiction.
• Process foreclosures and bankruptcies in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Coordinate with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, and trustees to move cases forward.
• Monitor attorney performance and ensure timely completion of records and filings.
