First American is seeking a Mortgage Servicing professional to manage high-risk mortgage portfolios and oversee legal proceedings to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Paralegal Degree or Certificate preferred.
• 3+ years of directly related experience such as Mortgage Litigation, Mortgage Servicing, Mortgage Title Resolution, legal and/or financial
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
• GSE and Government experience preferred
• MSP and LoanSphere experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of Windows software and Outlook
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with strong customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated; able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Experienced team member to manage the high-risk portfolio to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Oversight of counsel’s legal proceedings in the jurisdiction to ensure appropriate action is taken and milestones are met.
• Serve mortgage accounts to ensure foreclosure and bankruptcy activities are processed in compliance with state and federal laws while following Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines.
• Act as representative to the company in mediations, settlements, non-jury trials, jury trials and depositions.
• Conducts complete reviews of files to ensure all default time frames have been met.
• Manage exception reporting used as key controls for minimizing risk.
