What We Do

Responsible for hankding mortgage accounts to ensure all title resolution, contested, senior lien monitoring and non- monetary default activities follow all state and federal laws. Perform a variety of default loan servicing tasks within timelines and workflow processes on files. Processes are managed in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to improve timeline and attorney performance.

Default Loan Servicing Specialists perform duties related to early-stage, late-stage, reporting, and litigation in the default loan servicing process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Experiencedteammembertomanagethehighriskportfolioassociatedwiththepositiontoensurecompliancewith regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversightofcounsel'slegalproceedingsinthejurisdictiontoensureappropriateactionistakeandallmilestonesare met.
  • Servicemortgageaccountstoensureavarietyofforeclosure,andbankruptcy,andescalatedactivitiesareprocessedin compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines.
  • Actasrepresentativetothecompanyinwitnesscapacityformediations,settlement,non-jurytrials,jurytrialsand depositions.
  • Responsible for servicing mortgage accounts to ensure the foreclosure and bankruptcy are processed in compliance withallstateandfederallaws,whilemaintainingcompliancewithInvestor,Insurer,Agency,andcompanyguidelines.
  • Conductscomplete reviews of filesto ensure all defaulttime frames have been met.
  • Managesdefaultproceedingsonassignedcasesbyinteractingandinstructingvariouspartiessuchasmortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and any other party involved with the default process.
  • Monitorsattorneyperformancebyreviewingallproceedings,recordsandtimeframesinadditiontoworkingallsystem/ database activities throughout the default process.
  • Auditaccountsforexpensecomplianceandensuresproperapplicationtosystemof record
  • Performrequiredresearchonanyloanwithquestionableitemssuchastheapplicationofpayments,propernotification, and any other situation that may arise
  • Manageexceptionreportingusedaskeycontrolsforminimizingrisk.Trackstrendsandrecommendsprocess improvements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
  • High School diploma or equivalent, Paralegal Degree or Certificate preferred
  • College preferred
  • 3 + years of directly related experience such as Mortgage Litigation, Mortgage Servicing, Mortgage Title Resolution, legal and/or financial
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
  • GSE and Government experience preferred
  • MSP and LoanSphere experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and
  • Microsoft Outlook experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to effectively coach, motivate and lead team members
