Job summary

First American's ServiceMac unit seeks a Mortgage Default Loan Servicing Specialist to manage high‑risk portfolios and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. You will coordinate with counsel during foreclosures, bankruptcy, and related escalated activities while adhering to investor and agency guidelines.

The role requires attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication, with collaboration across mortgagors, attorneys, investors, trustees and appraisers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; paralegal cert preferred.
• College degree preferred; 3+ years mortgage servicing/litigation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage high risk mortgage portfolio to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee counsel's legal proceedings to meet milestones and actions.
• Service mortgage accounts through foreclosure and bankruptcy in line with laws.
• Coordinate with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, and trustees during default processes.
