Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and administrators responsible for Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, automation, and related technologies.

You will report to the Director of Modern Workplace Engineering and guide technical design, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization while building coaching and career development for staff in a remote-capable, distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive experience in Microsoft 365, endpoint engineering, infrastructure, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration in multiple Modern Workplace disciplines.
• Experience reviewing designs, scripts, configurations, and operational documentation.
• Coaching technical employees, managing performance, and supporting career development.
• Experience managing competing priorities, escalations, projects, and resources.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, security, automation, and device-management technologies.
• Escalation point for complex incidents, service disruptions, and architectural decisions.
• Lead discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation as needed.
• Review designs, scripts, configurations, and procedures for quality, security, and supportability.
• Manage work intake, prioritization, resource assignment, and delivery across work streams.
• Establish standards, practices, and accountability across the engineering team.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, coaching, and professional development planning.
• Identify skill gaps and create opportunities for cross-training and mentoring.
• Collaborate on platform strategy, budgeting, vendor management, and service improvement.
• Coordinate delivery across Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows, macOS, MECM, Autopilot, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Power Platform, Copilot.
• Work with ITS teams to design secure, reliable solutions.
• Develop automation and promote scripting and repeatable engineering practices.
• Monitor performance, debt, workload, platform health, and delivery outcomes.
• Communicate risks, dependencies, and status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Represent Modern Workplace Engineering in reviews, governance forums, and project meetings.
