Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Sr Mobile Trailer Technician to join our on-site team. This role focuses on certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced trailer repairs performed at customer sites.

As the senior on-site technician, you will lead on jobs, diagnose complex issues, manage parts, complete DOT forms, and ensure safety. Strong communication and independence are essential; prior experience with heavy-duty trailers and alignment with company policies is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related trade certifications preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification is preferred within 18 months of hire.
• CDL-A license required or obtainable per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment in a field environment.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems: brakes, air lines, liftgates, and related components.
• Document work in RO system, obtain approvals, and communicate findings to management.
• Maintain safety standards and manage parts inventory on the service truck.
• Interact with clients to assess needs and provide clear, professional guidance.
