Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services seeks a Sr Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a mobile field setting. You will travel to client sites, diagnose issues, and complete work on heavy‑duty equipment and trailers.

You will operate a company‑issued service truck, document findings via the TRAIT app, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations while enjoying competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge or ability to obtain.
• ASE certifications are preferred and recognized.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in the field providing mobile service and maintenance for light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections; follow up repairs in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment and truck systems (electrical, brakes, cooling, engines).
• Test and road‑test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Maintain and manage a company service truck and parts inventory.
• Document work in the TRAIT app and on Repair Orders with photos.
