Job summary

Gametime is hiring a Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the mobile platform for iOS and Android using React Native. You will guide architecture, performance, and delivery for millions of users weekly, while mentoring engineers and advancing AI-ready tooling.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and business teams to define the roadmap and ensure scalable solutions, including CI/CD, testing, and release processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in mobile apps (React Native).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term technical vision and architecture for Gametime's mobile platform (iOS/Android) via React Native.
• Champion AI-powered capabilities in the mobile workflow and personalisation features.
• Own end-to-end mobile strategy from architecture to release engineering.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across mobile, backend, product, design, and data teams.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, and observability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Improve mobile performance, reliability, and release quality (CI/CD, crash monitoring).
• Partner with Product/Design to shape the mobile roadmap and priorities.
• Identify and remove platform bottlenecks to boost velocity.
• Promote inclusive engineering culture through talks and docs.
