Whitepages is seeking an Engineering Lead to own the ReactNative mobile experience end to end. You will guide a small team, shape architecture, and drive agentic workflows with product, design, and marketing.

This leadership role emphasizes hands-on direction and high quality while preparing for broader scope across web and data platforms. The role requires mentoring engineers, strong JS/TS skills, and a track record of delivering scalable mobile apps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience; 3+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• 4+ years with ReactNative, or strong mix of React web and native/hybrid mobile development.
• 5+ years of JavaScript or TypeScript experience.
• Proven ability to own architecture for a production mobile app at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools or agentic workflows in real engineering work.
• Strong product sense and ability to justify decisions with user impact.
• Excellent communication across engineering, product and non-technical stakeholders.
• Desire to grow beyond mobile and work across backend/data as roadmap evolves.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of mobile engineers: set direction, review code and architecture decisions, mentor ownership and craft.
• Own the architecture of ReactNative apps for iOS and Android, balancing shared and platform-specific quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to shape the roadmap and bring product judgment to tickets.
• Build and roll out agentic and AI-assisted workflows to raise velocity and quality.
• Champion testability, accessibility, and usability as core concerns in every feature.
• Own and evolve the mobile CI/CD pipeline, including automated UI testing and releases.
• Translate technical tradeoffs into plain language for non-technical stakeholders and document requirements.
• Model operational excellence: reduce debt, improve docs, maintain urgency.
