Job summary

Affirm is seeking an experienced mobile engineering lead to shape the technical strategy for a year-long horizon. You will partner with product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainable architecture, manage risks, and champion high-quality delivery.

You will own team operations, on-call readiness, and code/design standards, mentoring engineers and driving large-scale features across the mobile stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mobile app development and architecture.
• 4+ years experience with React Native.
• Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript and Expo.
• Experience updating React Native SDKs and debugging JS-native boundaries.
• Proficient in modern state management and tooling.
• Ability to lead teams and deliver large features with execution plans.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team over a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to balance trade-offs.
• Define operational processes, monitoring, and on-call practices.
• Lead code reviews and architecture discussions to raise quality.
