Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Mobile Engineer 4 - Android for a remote-eligible role. You will collaborate with engineers, designers and product managers to deliver high-performing, user-focused mobile features for millions of customers, while aligning with architectural standards and product strategy.

You’ll mentor peers, contribute to mobile architecture, and help shape testing, performance, accessibility, and SDUI/BFF approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift).

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, designers, and PMs to deliver high-performing mobile features for 100M+ customers.
• Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture and design patterns.
• Mentor other engineers and help clear technical obstacles.
• Grow expertise in performance, accessibility, and architecture.
• Contribute to API design reviews and reusable components.
• Lead design/development of BFFs and SDUI architectures for scalable experiences.
• Champion feature flag strategies and tiered rollout practices.
• Foster AI-native development practices and on-device ML familiarity.
