Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Mobile Engineer 4 - Android (Remote-Eligible) to join a collaborative Agile team delivering high-performing features for 100M+ customers. You will shape mobile architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate across product, design, and data teams.

You will work on Backend-for-Frontend and Server-Driven UI architectures, implement feature flags, and apply AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery with a focus on performance and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 3 years of experience building native mobile apps for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift)

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing features for 100M+ customers
• Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture and design patterns
• Mentor other engineers and drive platform-specific best practices
• Grow and provide expertise in performance, accessibility, and architecture
• Lead design/development of Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) and Server-Driven UI (SDUI)
• Champion feature flags and staged rollouts to improve delivery quality
• Apply agentic AI tools and AI-native development practices
• Deliver complex, high-leverage technical contributions across mobile platforms
