Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Mobile Engineer 4 - Android (Remote-Eligible) to partner with cross-functional teams and deliver high-impact mobile features for hundreds of millions of customers. You’ll lead mobile architecture decisions, mentor peers, and advance performance, accessibility, and test coverage across native Android and iOS platforms.

The role emphasizes BFF/SDUI work, API design collaboration, and adopting AI-assisted development practices while maintaining high quality and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 3 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-performing features for 100M+ customers that are engaging and simple
• Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture and design patterns
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and platform best practices
• Grow expertise in performance, accessibility, and architecture
• Contribute to API design reviews and reusable components
• Lead BFFs and SDUI architectures for scalable experiences
• Establish feature flag and staged rollout practices
• Champion agentic AI tools to increase team velocity
• Apply deep knowledge of mobile ecosystems to coding and testing
• Drive quality, performance, accessibility and user empathy
