Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive Company, is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Mechanic to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. Lead on jobsites, diagnose complex issues, and provide expert service to fleets nationwide.

You will manage parts, docs, and customer communication from a service truck equipped for on-site work. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in heavy-duty maintenance, ASE certs are a plus, and a valid license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3–5+ years in related field; alternate combos acceptable.
• 3+ years experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• Own set of hand tools required.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• Must pass DOT/FMCSA background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile fleet.
• Repair and diagnose light to heavy-duty vehicles and trailers.
• Manage parts inventory and maintenance paperwork on RO.
• Operate and maintain company service truck in safe condition.
• Collaborate with clients to assess repair needs and provide estimates.
