Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance for fleets nationwide. The Mobile Diesel Technician II role involves DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile field setting, with leadership on job sites and strong customer interaction.

The position requires 3+ years of diesel/refrigerated equipment experience, valid CDL, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years related experience, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical required.
• DOT medical card validity rules apply for employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile setting.
• Diagnose, repair and service electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Operate and maintain company service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Document work in Repair Orders using the TRAIT iOS app with photos.
• Perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and estimates.
