Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Edison, NJ. The role focuses on performing licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and both light and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems and lead on-site troubleshooting for complex repairs. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in related field, 3+ years with refrigerated equipment, and be able to manage parts inventory, service truck maintenance, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years in related field.
At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
OEM training and certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on diesel trucks.
Inspect and test equipment; road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
Maintain service truck; conduct safety checks and pre/post trip inspections.
Document work performed and parts used using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
Obtain approvals on repair estimates and manage parts/PONs with vendors.
