Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to drive high‑impact ML/AI solutions. You will act as the technical driver on projects, defining approaches, and leading a small team to deliver complex systems.

You will translate business needs into actionable builds and report progress to stakeholders. You will mentor 2–4 engineers, own delivery, ensure code quality, validation, and reproducibility, and push for scalable ML platforms and modern LLM-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Deep software-engineering discipline that sets testing/validation standards and reproducibility across the codebase.
• Technical leadership of a small team: guiding work, owning approach, reviewing others while building.
• Delivery ownership: planning/sequencing and managing technical risk to delivery.
• Advanced ML/AI: broad ML/AI methods and modern AI/LLM/agentic approaches and their applicability.
• Bridging business and technology: translating needs and communicating outcomes to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Turn needs into ML/AI solutions by designing systems and models.
• Set the engineering bar by example with standards for code quality and tests.
• Be the technical point of contact translating business needs into the build.
• Guide a small team of 2–4, assign and review work and mentor.
• Own delivery of the solution, plan sequencing and manage risks.
• Communicate results with clear insights and recommendations.
• Drive informed decision-making by integrating ML insights into strategy.
• Leverage Agentic AI & modern LLMs in solutions.
• Design scalable ML platforms and MLOps infrastructure.
• Mentor and collaborate across cross-functional partnerships.
