Job summary

Credit Acceptance seeks a Senior Manager, MLE to lead ML/AI engineering initiatives across business areas. You will partner with engineering and business stakeholders to formulate a vision and co‑lead a roadmap delivering AI-powered solutions for dealers, consumers, and teams.

This role blends strategy, architecture, and hands-on delivery. You will mentor MLEs, apply Gen‑AI to improve experiences, and ensure scalable, secure systems while championing responsible AI practices and data-driven

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Stats, Economics, or a related field with at least 8+ years of experience or MS with at least 10+ years in ML and software engineering
• Hands-on expertise in scaling and maintaining production-grade ML services with ML/LLM Ops focus
• Experience partnering with engineering, product, and business teams to design and execute solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with bias for action

Responsibilities

• Lead vision and strategic execution with focus on long-term value creation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps and translate into quarterly plans
• Drive execution of ML/AI solutions, managing priorities and deadlines
• Design scalable, secure systems using state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies
• Mentor data professionals and ML engineers across the organization
• Explore advanced ML techniques (LLMs, DL, GNNs) to solve business challenges
• Guide a team of MLEs across areas: mentoring, recommendations, growth, Gen‑AI, lifecycle, engineering
