Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior-level Mixed-Signal / Custom Digital IC Designer to develop timing models and characterize custom interfaces for ICs. You will generate Liberty .lib models, perform SPICE-level characterization, and ensure compatibility with PrimeTime, Tempus, and other signoff tools.

The role requires strong transistor-level design experience, PVT-aware timing, and collaboration with analog, digital, STA, verification, and physical design teams.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in custom IC design, mixed-signal design, standard-cell characterization, or digital timing methodology.
• Hands-on experience with transistor-level SPICE-class tools.
• Strong understanding of CMOS digital circuit design including inverters, latches, flip-flops, and clocked logic.
• Experience generating or validating Liberty .lib files and timing models; PVT-based characterization.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain Liberty .lib models for custom digital and analog-digital interface circuits.
• Characterize timing arcs: setup/hold, clock-to-Q, recovery/removal, and minimum pulse-width.
• Model pin capacitance, transitions, leakage, dynamic power, and Liberty attributes.
• Validate .lib files against transistor-level simulations and timing signoff flows.
• Create automated characterization flows using Python, Tcl, Perl, shell, or SKILL.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, STA, verification, and physical design teams.
