Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a senior mixed-signal and custom digital IC designer to develop, simulate, and deliver Liberty timing models for complex ICs. You will characterize, validate, and integrate models across STA and physical design, working closely with analog, digital, and verification teams in a fast-paced space hardware environment.

The role involves on-site work in California with relocation support and occasional travel, and a remote work exception may apply during site development.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in custom IC design and digital timing/mixed-signal work.
• Hands-on transistor-level SPICE simulation experience.
• Strong CMOS digital design knowledge: inverters, logic, latches, FFs, transmission gates.
• Experience generating Liberty .lib files.
• Familiar with PVT analysis and timing concepts (setup/hold/clock-to-Q).
• Scripting in Python, Tcl, Perl, shell, or SKILL.
• Ability to collaborate across analog/digital/verification/STA teams.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain Liberty .lib models for custom interfaces.
• Characterize timing across PVT corners and load conditions.
• Perform SPICE-level characterization and transistor-level simulations.
• Validate Liberty models against transistor-level results and STA behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and integrate models into flows.
• Document methodologies and create reusable testbenches and templates.
• Mentor junior engineers in timing characterization and modeling.
