Job summary

Vannevar Labs seeks a Senior Mission Manager to drive program-based adoption of our AI technology within government offices. You will work with PEOs, PMWs, and program managers to shape pilots, scope capabilities, and convert mission value into funded programs.

This highly autonomous role requires deep mission credibility, strong technical intuition, and the ability to operate in ambiguous, early-stage program environments, including U.S. DoD/IC contexts under appropriate clearance.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of government or defense mission experience.
• Deep expertise in a specific mission or technical domain (e.g., cyber, ISR, networks).
• Proven ability to scope, pitch, and sell technical solutions to senior government stakeholders.
• Experience navigating budgets, requirements, authorities, timelines, and stakeholder dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with program offices to identify mission problems that Vannevar Labs’ technology can solve.
• Translate program needs into narratives mapping to software capabilities and outcomes.
• Scope pilots with objectives, timelines, and pathways to scale.
• Pitch the technology with credibility to program managers and technical authorities.
• Navigate contracting pathways and budgeting cycles with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to reflect mission context in scope and delivery.
• Convert pilots into sustained programs and justify follow-on funding.
