Job summary

Vannevarlabs is seeking Mission Leads who will own Navy-facing mission outcomes, shape pilots and deployments, and turn demonstrated mission value into durable, funded programs. This role blends mission credibility with execution and technical intuition, requiring autonomy in ambiguous environments and the ability to translate needs into clear technical narratives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting the Department of the Navy, defense acquisition, government technology, or national security programs.
• Experience with Navy program offices and related commands.
• Experience with defense acquisition, capability development, and program management.
• Familiarity with Navy budgeting, acquisition, experimentation, and transition pathways.
• Strong technical intuition and the ability to engage with engineers and senior government leaders.
• Experience leading customer engagements involving complex technical systems and software platforms.
• Willingness to travel frequently for customer engagements and operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Navy program offices and defense stakeholders.
• Identify and develop new mission opportunities by understanding capability gaps and acquisition priorities.
• Lead customer-facing engagements, including mission discovery and demonstrations, and support program transitions.
• Translate operational challenges into executable technical solutions leveraging Vannevar's software capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and mission teams to inform roadmap priorities.
